The United Kingdom is facing a tyre waste crisis with no commercial or regulatory solution.
486,000 tonnes of used car, bus and truck tyres are discarded every year, and the number is growing. These tyres are hidden in barns and empty buildings and just fly tipped in country lanes.
S/R Engineering have a solution to this problem that will help the environment, and at the same time, create green power and much needed bi-products to minimise depletion of natural resources.
S/R is seeking a $45,000,000 loan to build a state of the art tyre recycling plant near Southampton to be manned by the S/R Recycling team which is an established venture engaged in the shredding and granulating of end-of-life car, truck and bus tyres, with over 60 existing clients. The new site in Southampton will be able to process 36,000 tonnes of tyres per annum, equivalent to 7.5% of UK waste tyres which will be collected by existing S/R customers.
This project is not only shovel ready; it is already producing revenue from the shredding operations and full project completion is expected within 16 months
